Overview of Film

• The film will be set in the modern day in a different world (Novus), in a country called Fatum which follows the same rules as Earth
• Involves a secret organisation (Lightening Kin) who protects the Earth from demons and keeps the various mythical creatures that live in secret on this planet in line.
• Will be about one squad of five who find out about a plan to unleash all evil on this world and their journey to prevent it.

• Undead:

o       Banshee - Banshees are restless spirits of evil witches and females. Banshees are well known for their howls of despair this howl of the banshee is meant to bring death to those who hear it.

o       Necromancer - A Necromancer is an evil wizard who practices in the necromancy. Necromancy is the power over the world of the dead. Their powers enable them to raise corpses from the ground to create armies of Skeletons and Zombies. Necromancers steal the life-force from other living creatures to extent their own and to increase their strength and toughness.

o       Vampire

o       Wraith - Wraith or Shadows were once people who practised dark magic. These people tried to extend their life for many hundreds of years but the result was not what they expected all that is left of them is a soul that is deprived of substance and which the persons mind has been driven mad by its most hideous fears.

Characters:

• Commander Isolde Delattre – the main character in this film. The village where she grew up, Devoveo was destroyed by a Necromancer when she was ten. She only survived because she hid in her parent’s cellar – she watched her family die. She was found by the Lightening Kin when they wiped out by the Necromancer and has grown up being taught Military Skills. She is know Commander of the Mortuus Garrison who is sent out to investigate teams that don’t return or missions which are particularly tough. Her weapon of choice is a long sword which she calls Justice.
• Lucian Bloodgate – Isolde’s second in command, he is from a simple hunting family. He was assisted the Lightening Kin when his farmland was attacked by a Banshee. Impressed by his skills with a dagger, they recruited him to join their cause and spent the last 5 years training with the organisation. He was hand picked by Isolde to join the Mortuus Garrison. He fights with two daggers and excels in stealth.
• Brooke Silvetti – Raised as a noble woman, Brooke lived a life of luxury until her family disowned her for falling in love with a mage and her father killing him. Cast out from her family, she rescues the Mortuus Garrison from a powerful banshee and decides to tag along with the group. Isolde grudgingly agrees as they owe her their lives, although she doesn’t trust her. She uses a bow and arrows.
• Toril Kissinger – Toril is a mage who excels in combat magic. She taught at the school for magic for a number of years, until her thirst for adventure took over. She trains specially in magic involving the natural elements as well as basic healing magic. Her staff is bladed at one end which helps if anything gets past the front line of defence, meaning that she is also skilled in close combat.
• Xander Lynxwater – Xander Lynxwater is the love interest of Commander Isolde. He specialises in defence and uses a sword and shield. He does not know who his father is, other than the fact that he was a noble man. His mother raised him alone, in the slums of Desolo, the capital city of Fatum. He joined the city guard at 18 and spent his years training there. He ran into the Lightening Kin when moving a criminal to the remote prison Silex Silicis and the prisoner was possessed by the lesser demon Abdiel. He and the Lightening Kin were the only survivors. He insisted on joining the Mortuus Garrison to protect Isolde, although she does not know how he feels about her and the reason as to why he joins the Garrison at the start of the film.
• Monshang – The antagonist of the story. He is a powerful necromancer who was supposedly defeated by the Lightning Kin 20 years previous to the plot of the story. Very little is known about him as all the documents on him were destroyed in a fire.
• Silas – A healer who rebuilt the village of Devoveo after it was ruined by a necromancer. He and Isolde were friends until she thought that he was killed by the necromancer.
• Thomas – A member of the Desolo Tower of Magi. He was friends with Toril and is later a love interest for her, although it is never clear whether they continue their relationship after the climax of the film.
